At Silos Córdoba, we continue to strengthen our international presence with the installation of a new steel silo in Germany, this time for the prestigious Walter KG Mühle mill, a family-owned business with over 130 years of history in the flour milling industry.

Located in Böhl-Iggelheim, between the Rhine River and the Wine Route in the heart of the German Palatinate, Walter Mill has been run by five generations since its founding in 1893. Renowned for its commitment to quality, the company produces a wide range of flours and baking mixes from regionally grown grains, including wheat, rye, and spelt. Its philosophy blends tradition, craftsmanship, and innovation, with a strong focus on building a sustainable future for the milling industry.
The main goal of this project is to modernize the mill’s storage facilities by replacing a silo that had been in use for over 30 years with a new silo measuring 15 meters in diameter and offering a total capacity of 3,814 m³, dedicated to wheat storage.
To ensure safe and efficient grain preservation, the silo will include:
√ A temperature control system to maintain grain quality throughout the year.
√ A ventilation system to ensure optimal storage conditions.
√ Walkways and structural supports designed in accordance with European standards for maximum accessibility and safety.
√ A sweep auger, enabling complete product discharge and improving the internal logistics of the mill.

With this project, Silos Córdoba reinforces its commitment to providing tailored solutions for each client’s specific needs, delivering expertise, technology, and reliability in every installation.
