At Silos Córdoba, we are pleased to announce the launch of a new international project in Mizil, Romania, in partnership with our strategic collaborators Dutch Trading and MGN. This new facility is part of a modern feed production plant developed by Dutch Trading International, a company with more than 19 years of experience in Romania’s livestock industry.
Dutch Trading, known for its advanced infrastructure for the handling and distribution of young cattle and sheep, is expanding its operations with the construction of a state-of-the-art feed factory. The plant is designed not only to meet internal demand but also to improve efficiency across its value chain, integrating cutting-edge technology in the storage and management of raw materials and finished products.
For this project, Silos Córdoba has supplied a fully customized grain storage system engineered to ensure maximum efficiency and product preservation. The installation includes a total of 23 hopper steel silos, strategically distributed by function and storage capacity:
Wheat Storage Silos
√ 9 hopper silos with a 45° conical hopper, each with a capacity of 1,406 m³.
√ Diameter: 10 m.
√ Height: 13 rings.
These silos are designed for large-scale grain storage, allowing for efficient gravity unloading and dedicated to wheat, a key raw material in feed production.
Raw Material Silos
√ 8 hopper silos with 60° conical hoppers. Capacity: 104 m³ each.
√ 2 hopper silos with 60° conical hoppers. Capacity: 70 m³ each.
√ Diameter: 3.64 m.
√ Heights: 8 and 5 rings respectively.
Optimized for rapid and complete discharge, these silos will house various essential raw materials for feed manufacturing, ensuring a continuous and obstruction-free production process.
Bulk Feed Silos
√ 4 hopper silos with offset hoppers, each with a capacity of 39 m³.
√ Diameter: 2.55 m.
√ Height: 6 rings. Compact and efficient design.
These silos are used for storing processed feed, facilitating efficient bulk loading for distribution or internal use.
Auxiliary Equipment: Safety, Accessibility and Control
In addition to the steel silos, the project includes key components to guarantee safe, accessible, and well-monitored plant operations:

♦ Structural supports engineered to withstand daily dynamic loads
♦ Upper and lower level sensors, critical for inventory control, overfill prevention, and continuous product monitoring
