New industrial expansion in Germany: more capacity, greater control and improved operational efficiency

In 2025, Silos Córdoba took part in a new storage project for a German milling company, supplying a high-capacity silo for its industrial facilities.

Now, this collaboration continues with a new expansion that strengthens the plant’s operational capacity while improving both grain preservation and discharge efficiency.

A new silo designed to integrate into an operating plant

The expansion includes a flat-bottom steel silo for wheat storage, with a diameter of 15 metres and an approximate capacity of 3.100 tonnes, designed according to EUROCODE standards and prepared to meet the usual requirements of the Central European market.

Among the main highlights of this expansion are the incorporation of a complete ventilation and temperature monitoring system, together with a temperature control solution based on probes and management software, allowing continuous supervision of the stored grain conditions and improving preservation during storage.

These types of solutions are especially important in industrial facilities where product stability and operational continuity are key factors.

The installation also includes a discharge system designed to ensure efficient grain extraction and optimise the plant’s daily operation.

In addition, catwalks, supports and auxiliary galvanized steel structures have been installed to facilitate integration with the existing equipment and guarantee safe access for operation and maintenance tasks.

Solutions adapted to industrial growth

This project reflects the continued trust of industrial customers who keep expanding their facilities together with Silos Córdoba.

In projects of this kind, adaptability is essential. Every expansion must be precisely integrated into an already operational plant, respecting workflows, access points, handling systems and future growth requirements.

The new installation developed in Germany perfectly represents this philosophy: solutions designed to evolve alongside the customer and support the growth of their grain storage and handling capacity.
